La Cineteca Atomica Del GArigliano (CAGA.) e' un' associazione di Itri (LT) che dal 2004 si occupa di organizzare (dapprima solo nel sud-pontino, ora in tutta Italia e all' estero) eventi culturali a 360 gradi... rassegne cinematografiche, mostre, concerti, festival, con un occhio di riguardo all' underground italiano ed internazionale e soprattutto alla sperimantazione. Nel 2008 i ragazzi della CAGA mettono su uno studio di registrazione, il Brigastudio (ora trasferitosi nella Brigadisco's Cave, una caverna nel centro storico di Itri!) e naturalmente la Brigadisco, etichetta indipendente di cui questa e' la prima uscita. "Poliuterano" e' una raccolta di 17 brani inediti registrati al Brigastudio da Fabio La Rocca (tranne poche eccezioni), una testimonianza lasciata dalle bands che la CAGA ha ospitato a Itri nel 2008. La compilation mette subito in chiaro quale sara' la politica dell' etichetta: produrre tutto cio' che vuole senza schemi o chiusure di alcun tipo, a prescindere dal genere musicale. La prima parte del cd e' piu' "movimentata" e i punk-rockers londinesi Monkey Island (i primi ad aver registrato al Brigastudio) ce lo dimostrano subito con i due brani posti in apertura! C'e' il jazz-core dei romani Neo e Squartet (bands dello straordinario chitarrista Manlio Maresca), c'e'la potenza dei G.I. Joe con "I Balcani", uno sguardo alla scena locale sud-pontina con Ava Kant e We Don' t Care About Names, l' attacco frontale degli anconetani Lush Rimbaud, il mantra ipnotico di "Almost A God" dei torinesi Movie Star Junkies... I Chewingum con il loro pop sperimentale fanno da ponte tra la prima e la seconda parte della compilation, molto piu' sperimentale e ipnotica grazie al folk psichedelico di Mattia Coletti, la delicatezza di Bob Corn e i rumorismi apocalittici degli I/O da Milano. Chicca finale la trccia posta in chiusura disco dei Tasaday, (storica e fondamentale band, tra i padri della scena industrial-experimental italiana) che ci regalano un viaggio di otto minuti registrato live in una splendida serata al Castello Mediavale di Itri. L'artwork, splendido, sancisce l' inizio della collaborazione tra Brigadisco e Rocco Lombardi, grandissimo disegnatore underground, che ha creato per l'etichetta il personaggio del Brigante Nucleare.



Cineteca atomica del garigliano (CAGA)is an association based in
Itri (LT) that since 2004 organize (at the beginning in the south
pontino area, now also through italy and abroad ) 360 degrees cultural
events as a film festival , exibitions , concerts,festivals all
strictly connected with the italian and overseas underground
experimentation moviment.in the 20008 the guys of CAGA built up their
first own studio that now is moved at the brigadisco's cave (a cave
underneath an house inside the itri oldest part of the town at the foot
of the castle) and also Brigadisco an indie recording label and
Brigadisco#1 poliuretano is the first album released! This is a
compilation made by 17 unreleased tracks recorded in the 2008 by all
the bands that we have hosted in itri .This album speaks about the
label that want to produce music without fixed schemes or other
impositions regardless of musical kind . The first part starts with
london punk rockers Monkey island ( the first who have recorded a track
at the brigastudio) they shows up since the beginning how loud they are
with the first 2 tracks . There's the jazz-core played by romans NEO
and Squartet(band of the extraordinary guitarist Manlio maresca),
ther's the raw power of the blast duo "GI JOE" with their song i
balcani, there are two bands of south pontino area "AVA KANT and WE
DONT CARE ABOUT THE NAMES, ther's the frontal assault made by Ancona's
Heros Lush Rimbaud, the hypnotic mantra "Almost a god" by turin legends
Moviestar Junkies, ther's the experimental pop played by Senigallia's"
Chewingum" lead us on the second part of the compilation that is
moresperimental and hypnotic according to the folk psichedelia of
Mattia Coletti , with the gentleness of Bob Corn and the apocalyptic
rumors made by Milan noisers I/O. the compilation finish with a bomb!
Tasaday(seminal italian industrial-experimental band) take our hand
throught a 8 minute journey recorded live on a beautiful evening at
itri medieval castle. The exquisite cover art opens the collaboration
between Brigadiso and Rocco lombardi , an amazing italian underground
cartoonist and designer, that has created the icon of the Nuclear
Brigant that's on the front cover.
